As one of the world’s most important and influential music industry gatherings, the International Music Summit has announced it is moving to a new home for its annual seventh conference. IMS will be taking its delegates and industry executives to Ibiza’s hotly anticipated newcomer, Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza in Playa d’en Bossa. The Hard Hock Hotel will hold all the conference events, interviews, keynote speeches and presentations.
“IMS was created so people can debate and be inspired about the future of a technology-driven genre of music, so inevitably our host venue needs to move with the times also.”
“This is a major opportunity for us to create a new home as we expand with the genre and with the ambitions of our delegates. We are impressed with the work of the Hard Rock group and feel we are in good hands. The irony of the history and name of the hotel is not lost on us – this is a true reflection of how our music is seeping into mainstream culture worldwide and continuing to break down barriers of entry.” – IMS partner Ben Turner.
The move will not affect the Summit’s Grand Finale parties that will take place at the World Heritage listed site Dalt Vila on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd May. All the satellite events that used to take place in Ibiza Town, will now take place in Playa d’en Bossa in venues close to the Hard Rock Hotel.
